Tell us about you, your business, and what you do.
I’m born and raised in South Omaha, Nebraska. I’m 29 years old. I have two lifelines in human form, my Babygirl’s they’re 9 & 4. I started my entrepreneurial journey when I was 24, by starting their dad’s painting company. I founded my daughter’s clothing brand Velosa Co. when I was 26. I like doing start up companies molding the vision no one can see yet, & handing it over to their owners. I handle all social media for all businesses. I’m a project manger for VC painting. I find and estimate projects for them.
Velosa Co, is my baby, so I’m figuring out kinks and getting it automated so it runs smoothly. I like being behind the scenes making all the moves.
If you could use one word to describe your entrepreneur journey what would it be and why?
If I could use one word it would be patience, because great things take time. I’m learning to enjoy my journey embracing where I’m at in life. It all serves a purpose to teach us in one way or another.
What is your driving force behind your business? What is your reason to keep going?
My driving force behind my businesses would be, I love the freedom that comes with it. I can do as I please. I’m a present parent. I LOVE being able to go to all my daughter’s events. I don’t need to ask anyone for time off or to make up the time I missed. The reason I keep going is because I know this will benefit us in the long run.
How do you define success?
I don’t let others define it for me. To me success means my bills on auto pay & I’m still able to go out of town with my family. It means I can have the freedom to move how I want & still live comfortable with no worries..
As an entrepreneur, what does VX mean to you?
I loves that it stands for the founders sons birthday, I think that’s very creative and thoughtful. I also love the mission behind it, to help entrepreneurs like me always on the go with a cute comfortable & motivating fit. It’s a company that genuinely wants to see you win in all aspects of life, it’s inspiring.
