Tell us about you, your business, and what you do.
My name is Shaniah Lynn V., 22 years old and the face behind SLynnBeautyBar. Currently a Traveling Stylist who is a Licensed Cosmetology Graduate. I’m also certified in Artificial Nail Application & Designs, Microblading & Microshading, Eyebrow Threading & Waxing, Eyebrow Tint and Eyebrow Lamination as well as Eyelash Lifts.
I only offer a handful of services as a traveling technician currently but there will be more to come in the future. My goal is to be able to enhance beauty and confidence in my clients.
If you could use one word to describe your entrepreneur journey what would it be and why?
One word to describe my entrepreneurial journey would be “Passion”.
Every journey is unique; no two individuals will experience it in the same way. Along the way, you will find opportunities and risks coupled with challenges and rewards but if it wasn’t for your passion and that drive you wouldn’t be able to push through any of these obstacles
Who’s the one person that supported your dreams when you first started?
The one person from a few who’ve supported me throughout this process would be my grandfather. Not only was he there to help put my first studio together but he is always there to listen and his words of wisdom will always keep me going.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
In 5 years I see my business and my craft flourishing with the help of God, I’ll be the owner of a Beauty Bar. My One Stop Shop will be open to continue to not only make you all look beautiful but make you all feel beautiful too!
How do you define success?
Success to me means reaching a goal or accomplishing something you've set out to achieve. It is not necessarily a destination but a journey that helps develop the skills and resources you need to thrive.
As an entrepreneur, what does VX mean to you?
As an entrepreneur, to me VX means Confidence. Getting through your day with comfort and versatility while running your errands will give you a boost to get anything done!
